Square 2.2 Sweetens The Deal with Added Features
I frequent my neighborhood coffee shop and I like using their coffee drinkers incentive program. But rather than getting my sixth cup of coffee free, more often the case is that I have three partially punched cards next to where a keep my car keys and another goes through the wash every three months or so.
A major improvement to this dilemma, was just announced by the folks over at Square. Square is the app that let’s you take credit card payments from your smart-phone or tablet. Square now tracks customer loyalty automatically and even allows merchants to send discounts and deals to their users via the Card Case app.
When a merchant swipes a customer’s credit card, the purchase will automatically be tracked through square. Customer’s can add additional cards to their account and merchants can also perform this function from their end with ease.
Square 2.2 contains further improvements such as syncing to physical registers and allows merchants to connect to their main receipt function to print physical receipts, previously receipts were only produced electronically.
Additionally, the updates include extended ability to search sales history, resend receipts, and provide refunds. All of these functions can be performed from the POS software.
