Hotmail and Outlook- Finally Connected!

HandOFor years people that have used the service “Hotmail” and have been relegated to the confines’ of web access or worst… “POP.”  But late last year Microsoft heard our cries for help and released a Hotmail Outlook Connector!

                This connector gets hotmail connected to Outlook 2010 and 2003. And not only allows email to flow to your inbox, it allows you to sync your entire account like a virtual exchange server. All your Contacts, Calendar and Email work seamlessly. This allows us hotmail faithful to finally get our email on a local PC to centralize our information, opening the doors to syncing mobile devices, sharing calendars, and more.

  1. Download the setup file by clicking the Download button next to OutlookConnector.exe (below), and save the file to your hard disk.
  2. Double-click the OutlookConnector.exe program file on your hard disk to start the Setup program.
  3. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.

Instructions for use:

After you install this download, use Microsoft Office Outlook as you typically would.

To remove this download:

To remove the download file, delete the file Outlookconnector.exe.

  1. On the Start menu, point to Settings and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
  3. In the list of currently installed programs, select Microsoft Outlook Hotmail Connector 32-bit and then click Remove or Add/Remove. If a dialog box appears, follow the instructions to remove the program.
  4. Click Yes or OK to confirm that you want to remove the program.

Then open your Outlook for the first time (or create a new profile). Follow set up wizard and your set!
