20 most-wired US cities
Today, virtually every metropolitan area has Wi-Fi networks setup. But the networks alone are not going to do much for you when you’re traveling through these areas for business or pleasure. The question is, where are you most likely to connect? Where are you likely to find everything you need on one city? High speed hookups, cheap — or even free — connectivity, and available connections pretty much everywhere throughout the city? Forbes does yearly research on this topic, so I went to the source to read up and find out.
The cities overall rankings are determined by taking all of the following into consideration: 1. Broadband adaption, 2. Access options, 3. Number of available wi-fi hot spots, and 4. The city’s number on this years’ list.
