Make your Word documents “presentation ready”
Ok I’ve been in a lot of trainings, meetings and presentations. If it’s one pet peeve I have in that situation (besides the lack of donuts), it’s to look up at a document on the screen and see it rattled with extra tab marks, paragraph markers and anchors. It’s distracting and makes documents look unfinished and unprofessional. Here is a quick way to get rid of those pesky things.
Click your ribbion (or File) on the top left of your office document .
Select “Word Options”
Select “Display” section
Then uncheck all check boxes under the “Always show these formatting marks under the screen”
Word 2003
To resolve this issue, turn off the option to show formatting marks. To do this, use one of the following methods:
- On the Standard toolbar, click the Show/Hide button.
- On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the View tab. Under Formatting marks, click to clear the check boxes for the marks that you do not want to appear in the document.
- Press CTRL+SHIFT+*.
Done! Enjoy
