4 tricks for navigating using Windows 7!

New to Windows 7 or just want to navigate it more efficiently?  Here are 4 cool tips!

1. Switch applications – Aero Flip:

Want a way to quickly switch between your open applications?  Locate the Windows key on your keyboard (often on the bottom left).   Hold the Windows key and the Tab key at the same time to use the 3D flip and select the window you want to use.

2. Split your screen

Want to view two applications at the same time?  Hold down the Windows key and the right arrow key to show two  windows side by side for quick views, comparisons and multi-tasking.

3. Show the desktop without minimizing each open application

Hold down the Windows key and the D key to quickly show your desktop.

4. Screen capture:

Capture and use any image on your screen by using the Snipping Tool.  To open this tool, click the Windows Icon in the menu at the bottom of your screen to open the Start menu.  Select “All Programs,” then “Accessories,” then ”Snipping Tool.”

To use the tool, simply left click on your mouse and drag the mouse to cover the area you would like to take a image of.  Click on edit and choose copy and then paste the image into any application you are working on.
