Toggling Around in Windows 7 is Now Easier than Ever
For all of us PC users, Microsoft Windows has been the main stay Operating System for us forever. Through Windows 95, XP, the rocky road that was Vista, and now the latest and greatest, Windows 7, we have been opening and closing Windows screens for years. Over the years as technology has evolved, workloads increased and the power and complexity of our computer hardware and software ballooned, the number of simultaneous windows, documents and web pages we began working on simultaneously expanded infinitely as well.
Windows 7 has now made it easier than ever to manage this growing workload and screens through a couple of easy short cuts. Here are examples:
To access all open screens in a single pane of glass simply hold the Alt key down and simultaneously click on the Tab key. To run through each mini screen in this view, continue to hold Alt key down while clicking through them using the Tab key. The selected screen will be embossed around the border, as the 2nd window from the left in the top row is in this example.
For another quick and easy toggling option that scrolls though each screen in a ‘rolodex’ like fashion, try holding down the Alt key while simultaneously clicking the Windows key. This key is typically left and right of the Alt key. The screen that is in front is the one that will be selected when you release the keys. In this example, it is my desktop image.
