Tech Tip of the Month – When Was the Last Time You Rebooted?
by Chris Gordon | www.everonit.com
A simple and effective tip to keep your computer running efficiently is a Monday morning reboot. In less than five minutes you will have a clean slate for your entire work week.
Why is this important you ask? Whenever you use your computer, it takes up resources including memory and CPU/processor space. After a week of work your resources gradually diminish and your computer will appear progressively slower. Rebooting your computer weekly frees up these resources and allows you to start fresh; think of it like washing a chalk board down before writing on it again. Take my advice: Reboot every Monday while you get your coffee or talk to coworkers at the water cooler. This can be done in virtually no time and will make your computer run faster.
