Overlooked Features of Google Apps

1. Access- Since Google Apps is a web based, you can access your company info everywhere you can use the internet. Instead of having get to your work computer to check your shared calendar in Outlook, you can log into to your Google Apps account from any device anywhere and see the same shared information.

2. Revision History in Google Docs-Google Docs saves a text document every 3-4 minutes (a spreadsheet will save every time you changes a cell).  This allows for is multiple versions in your revision history. If you want want to revert a document back to a version from an hour or day ago, it’s as easy as finding the version you want and clicking on it.

3. Threaded Emails-Do you find yourself using your Outlook search fields to find original message or responses to issues that have different header names? Your Gmail associated with your Google apps account will save responses in the same thread. This is a personal favorite, because all the information about one issue is easily searchable and viewable chronologically in one place.

4.  Shared Calendar’s-You can create, name, and share a calendar with real time edit updates with ease. Now you don’t have to worry about whether a calendar is on a public folder or is a shared personal calendar. With Google Apps both settings came be set or unset with quickly with ease.
